Started something new today
I'm Kārlis Blūmentāls, a software engineer and entrepreneur. I have always dreamt about becoming a classic car collector, however, when reality sets in and means are limited, one has to become creative. So I am currently realizing my dream on a 1:18 scale.
I started collecting model cars in 2017 and currently I'm a proud owner of a modest 100+ high resolution 1:18 scale model car collection. My collection consists mostly of professional grade collector's model cars from Autoart, Kyosho, CMC and other manufacturers.
Today I am starting a new endeavor. I want to use my digital skills to catalog and present my collection online. I have already began taking some high resolution pictures of some of my model cars and I hope I will be able to keep posting them online here and on my Instagram account on a more or less regular basis.
There is a great chance that nobody will ever read this, nevertheless, I am starting the process and I shall see how it goes. The picture above is one of the Porsche 959 a 1:18 scale model car by Autoart. I am starting with Porsche 959, because it was my top childhood dream car.
